If you want to go to Zion National Park from Las Vegas, you have to go through St George, UT. It is a nice little town. I see a parallel I doubt others do. If you want to go to Chapada dos Veadeiros in Brazil, you have to go through Sao Jorge (or St. George). Both St Georges are nice cities. The one in Utah is bigger and has better roads.
We went to a restaurant called “Cliff Side. The food was good and it overlooks the city. St George is interesting geologically. It sits at the meeting place of the Great Basin, the Mojave and the Colorado Plateau. The picture shows the view from the restaurant.
